California campus blueprint to address sexual assault

This report presents legislative recommendations to the Governor and Legislature of California regarding sexual assault-related policies and practices of public and private colleges and universities. The Blueprint also contains considerations and action steps for campus administrators.

CALCASA 2014 Student Summit on Sexual Assault: Report and Recommendations

During the 2014 climate against the mishandling of sexual assault cases on university and college campuses, CALCASA responded by convening 50 students from different campuses in California to discuss their experiences towards developing recommendations for institutional change.

The 2014 Student Summit on Sexual Assault Report and Recommendation report culminates all the perspectives heard and discussed by those invited to the summit.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center released a fact sheet on community assessments as part of the National Sexual Assault Demonstration Initiative Toolkit to support the growth of sexual assault services within multi-service programs.

Not Alone

President Obama assembled the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault and tasked them with the exploration and examination of the problem of sexual assault on college campuses. The White House Task Force released their report, outlining specific recommendations related to addressing and preventing sexual assault on college campuses.  They also put together information for students and universities about resources available on response and prevention of sexual assault on college campuses.   The website Not Alone was launched in April 2014.
